Spoil Yourself Healthy

Hey guys!

For my first post allow me to introduce myself.

I LOVE life! I love the sights, the tastes, the sounds, the feelings, the smells...all of it! I am so thankful to be alive! It's interesting to note how many people walk around, but aren't truly alive. I try to wake up each morning with happiness and a purpose for my day.

I am an outgoing, bright, bubbly person. I love meeting new people and making new friends and memories. I love being married...it's like the best thing ever! I love yummy food that's healthy. I love living in harmony and balance and I love helping other people find theirs.

That's a little about me and there will be more to come! So, speaking of yummy food that's healthy, I made this Chocolate Chia Pudding that was out of this world the other day and I have to share the recipe!

Does that look delicious or what? And it's healthy for you too! Chia seeds are little superfood heroes in my book. Let me give you the skinny on these little guys, they:
  • Help to regulate your blood sugar which fights against that annoying belly fat
  • Are packed full of Omega 3s!
  • Just 2 TBS of these guys contains 1/3 of the daily recommended fiber intake - which means you'll feel fuller for longer and won't feel the need to fill up on junk food
  • Help prevent aging because they are filled to the brim with antioxidants
  • Contain Calcium which helps you to build strong teeth and bones
And that's just a few of their benefits! Have I convinced you to try them yet?

It does have a different texture than pudding, but another one of the great things about chia seeds is they can be digested whole. That means you don't have to chew every single seed.

You can leave this in the fridge overnight and snack on it the next day. It's a super quick recipe to prepare!

Chocolate Chia Pudding
Serves 2

4 Tbs chia seeds
1 C. almond milk
2 Tbs cocoa powder
4 Tbs agave syrup
1 tsp vanilla

-Mix all ingredients together. It does take a couple minutes to incorporate it all together. Refrigerate for a least 30 minutes (can leave overnight). Top with fresh berries.

Let me know what you think!
